“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3: 16 & 17.

“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.  You shall teach them to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.”  Deuteronomy 6: 6 & 7.

Memory Verses for 2011-2012

• Memory Verses are from the New King James Version.
• First verse is for PS 2s, PS 3s and Pre-K, unless otherwise indicated. 
• Verse with the symbol “+” before it is for K, 1st Grade & 2nd Grade.
• If there isn’t a second verse, the verse is the same for all students.
• Pre-K will practice “chapter and verse” although they are not required to recite it.
• K through 2nd Graders are encouraged to learn the entire verse, including “chapter and verse.”
• Recitation is on Thursdays and Fridays.

First Trimester

August 22 | I John 4:8 | God is love.
